From Gamsali the trek goes in the north western direction along the bank of Amrit Ganga. It passes through undulated meadows of Dhaman Sain and then through a boat shaped valley to Sagar and Bank Kund, which is the starting point of glaciers spread to the base of the Nilgiri and the Ghoradhungi mountains near the Valley of Flowers.
In the olden days when there were no motor roads, people from the Niti valley followed this route to visit the Hemkund Sahib lake, then popularly known as Lokpal. Now this is a less frequented track for the locals and only trekkers and nature lovers can occassionaly be seen on this trail.
