Introduction to Valley of Flowers:

The fairy land in Uttarakhand, is visited by thousands of tourists from India and abroad. At an altitude starting from 3352 mtr. to  3658 mtr., Valley of Flowers is almost 2 km in width, 10 km in length and concave in shape. A small river called the Pushpawati divides Valley of flowers along its length and several tiny water streams and waterfalls rush down to merge with it from the glacial deposits of Himalayan peaks. The Pushpawati and the Laxman Ganga, which flows from Hemkund Sahib, merge at Ghangaria. This combined stream is called Laxman Ganga till it meets Alaknanda river at Govind Ghat.
