          From Rishikesh to Dharasu a distance of 140 kms, the route to Yamunotri and Gangotri is the same. Short distance ahead of Dharasu the road to  Yamunotri branches off to left along the Khurmola valley and the one to Gangotri continues straight along river Bhagirathi to Dunda,  Uttarkashi and Gangotri.
