World Tourism Day (26th Sep 2015) : NEW DELHI: The ministry of culture on Saturday declared free entry for tourists to almost two hundred ticketed monuments and museums across India except Bihar as a neighbourhood of the World tourism Day’s celebration on Sunday. Mahesh Sharma, the state minister of culture assured to attract the tourists from all the corners of world by taking all the essential measures.The monuments which is able to be free for entry consists of 116 national monuments like Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Qutub Minar, Red Fort and thirty five notified sites under the ASI, as per the ministry of culture in a press release.
The Union tourism ministry in July declared that the foreign traveller arrivals (FTAs) in India have registered 1.8 percentage growth compared to last year’s same month (JULY), with the maximum tourists coming from the US. This year FTAs were registered as 5.13 lack as compared to the last years’ 5.05 lack in the same period, as per the ministry. The 27 September is being globally recognized by the global organization as World tourism Day since 1980.
The theme of this year’s tourism by WTO is ‘One billion tourists, one billion opportunities’,. The World tourism Day 2015 emphasizes the impact of the arena on economic process, job creation and development, as per the global organization World tourism Organization.
